There’s so much to enjoy about Spring – the flowers blooming, the fresh air, the sun shining. And, of course, the new Spring fashions! We’ve been bringing in lovely new pieces this season, and we know everyone is excited to dress in the bright new colours of the season.

Fingers crossed we’ll be able to travel sooner rather than later. But in the meantime, we expect there’ll be lots of safe but fun outdoor get-togethers, and maybe even some small weddings and special occasions

That means now is a lovely time to update your wardrobe, with some wearable pieces that work in a variety of settings. So we’ve put together some of our favourite fashion tips for Spring, featuring brand new pieces just-in to the store.

1. Stay Comfortable

Spring is time to get outdoors and get walking, and that means it’s also time to ensure you’re dressed comfortably.

A big thank you to Jacqueline for modelling this wonderfully casual and comfortable outfit featuring EverSassy, a Canadian line. We proudly feature mainly Canadians designers here at Malary’s, especially small and local businesses.

This lovely green top is very washable and wearable, with a lot of fun detail and interest at the hemline. It’s made from a lightweight, dry fabric, making it great for the summer. Jacqueline is pairing the top with FIRMA Energyware high waisted capris. Our own line of health-promoting shapewear, these capris are incredibly comfortable (not the norm for shapewear!), and they can also help improve your circulation. Attractive but functional pants like these capris are a great way to both look great and feel great, all season long.

This look is finished with a colourful resin necklace from Zsiska Accessories. Zsiska is a family business based in Thailand, and they create jewelry from resin combined with other light weight materials. Each piece is truly unique.

2. Opt For Lightweight Pieces

And thank you to Rhonda for modelling another casual look featuring FIRMA capris. This time, she has paired her capris with a fabulous and lightweight EverSassy top. This top is so easy to wear, and we especially love the great big pockets.

Rhonda is layering her top with a FIRMA midtank v-neck. It makes a great layering piece for this time of the year, keeping you warm or cool as needed.

And she’s paired the look with another of Zsiska’s fun and funky necklaces. Note that Zsiska’s necklaces are all adjustable, which makes this line so wearable.

3. Give Yourself A Beautiful ‘Hug’

And thank you to Ellen, who is also wearing a high rise legging from FIRMA. Note that these leggings make a great choice if you have varicose veins or swelling in your legs.

Ellen has paired her leggings with a beautiful top from one of our favourites, Joseph Ribkoff. This tried and true Canadian brand offers elegant executive wear and evening wear, with options for women of all sizes, shapes and ages.

Underneath, Ellen has layered her top with a flattering FIRMA invisible tank. Describing it as a ‘nice feeling of a hug,’ this is shapewear that leaves you feeling comfortable and supported.

And she is finishing the look with a fun brushed gold chain from Zuka Artful Accessories. Zuka pieces are designed and handmade in Yaletown, Vancouver, and they’re all so stunning and unique.

4. Pick Pastels

Pretty pastels for Spring will always be in style. Here, Jacqueline is modelling an outfit from Frank Lyman, another one of our favourite Canadian lines for women.

This floral jean is soft and so lovely for the season. It also has a lot of stretch, making it very comfortable, too.

And this pretty pink top looks great with just about everything. It also comes in a lovely taupe and a denim blue, and we have a wide size range of all colours available.

It’s fun to add whimsical jewelry to any look, and this pink flower necklace from Zsiska will make you feel happier and lighter. And if you’d like to dress up this look a little, try adding a bangle and stretch bead bracelet like Jacqueline has done here.

5. Opt For Reversible Jeans!

And here Jacqueline is wearing the same jeans! Choosing reversible options like these jeans are great for travelling – it’s two looks for the suitcase-space of one.

Then, pair these with a versatile top that works for any occasion, like this Joseph Ribkoff option, and you’ll have lots to choose from when you go on that first post-Covid trip!

6. Pair Jeans With A White Top & Funky Jacket

One of our favourite looks for Spring is comfy jeans with a wonderfully funky jacket, like Rhonda is modelling here. This fun jacket is from Canadian design line Dolcezza. We love that they hire and commission artists to create these stunning prints, so that all their pieces are so unique.

An invisible tank from FIRMA like Rhonda is wearing here is a great layer for warmer weather. It’s great under a jacket, or can be worn alone. And these cute capri jeans from Frank Lyman have a sweet pearl detail to make them extra-special. All comes together to create a comfortable look that’s just a little ‘dressed up,’ too.

7. Choose The Colour of the Season

And if you like funky sport jackets, Ellen is modelling the look for you. This relaxed Joseph Ribkoff jacket is so fun. Ellen has paired it with black capris, but it would be lovely with jeans as well.

And Ellen brightens her look with fuschia, the colour of the season, which is so fresh and fun.

You could dress this look up with a heel, like Ellen has done here. You could also pair it with a sneaker to make it a bit more sporty.

8. Be Ready For Special Events!

Lovel Spring weddings call for lovely Spring dresses! The right dress can be the perfect evening look for any special occasion.

With ruching on the front, a charming belt detail, and a v-neck in both the front and back, this Joseph Ribkoff dress looks great on so many figures. 9. Add A Colourful Scarf

While Spring is patio season, it’s also chilly evening season, making scarves a ‘must’ for many outfits. Here Ellen is modeling a stunning option from Love’s Pure Light Silk, which are very special silk scarves hand painted by Cydney from Alberta. Each comes with its own unique story, bringing both luxury and comfort to the wearer.

And because this scarf is silk, it can add a little warmth when needed.

10. Choose a Jumpsuit

Don’t be fooled! Jacqueline is actually modelling a Joseph Ribkoff jumpsuit here, and it is beautiful. Light and airy, this look combines sleek navy pants, with a stunning asymmetric print over top.

We think this look would be great for a backyard wedding. And we love it for travelling, because it rolls up in a ball with no wrinkling.
