“Sweater weather.” We can’t think of anything that sounds sweeter – except, perhaps, “sweater coat weather.”
As you may know, we’ve just released our fall collection, and our shelves are now packed with cozy fall fashions in all those cozy fall colours. That means lots of jackets, lots of sweaters, and, naturally, lots of sweater coats.

The Beauty Of A Sweater Coat
If you’re a sweater gal or a cardigan gal, then you’re probably a sweater coat gal, too. And with good reason! Sweater coats are becoming more and more popular, in part because they compliment every body type, adding a touch of both chic and cozy to any outfit.
When tailored well, a sweater jacket looks fresh and polished just like a jacket would, while being as soft and comfy to wear as your favourite hoodie. Wear them with dresses and skirts, or jeans and sneakers, with as many layers as you like. These can be some of the most versatile pieces in your closet, getting you through both fall and spring and maybe even a warmer winter day here and there, too.
For example, take this beautiful, Canadian-made option from Frank Lyman. This warm plaid print would compliment almost any outfit, and it offers a hood for when it’s extra chilly.
Or you could go for a more casual look with a shorter and slightly less tailored option.
Frank Lyman has some thinner options, which make great choices for this in-between season, when it’s often difficult to decide how warm to dress in the mornings.
Or you could unleash your inner fashionista and get a little wild with this fun animal print sweater coat lined with (of course) faux fur.

This fall, we’re delighted to offer our customers some stunning sweaters from Montreal-based designer Allison Sheri, who is known for her luxurious, easy care knitwear.

This oversized cardigan is 50% viscose, 35% nylon, and 15% polyester, and we just love how it pairs with a big, chunky scarf.
There’s always something classic and alluring about a long, white cardigan, and this Allison Sheri piece is no exception. This would be a particularly lovely option to have in your closet during the holiday season (it’ll be here before you know it!).
And don’t think you’re limited to muted (although still beautiful) tones just because it’s fall. We love a sweater jacket with a belt, and this teal option from Allison Sheri can give you a gorgeous pop of colour on those otherwise gloomy days.

We’re also obsessed with our beautiful new sweaters from fellow Montreal designer Elena Wang. We love that this line is fashion forward and machine washable, offering affordable, quality pieces that you’ll love for years to come.
